Privacy
It stays on the phone.
1Lock is built to work without an account. Lessons, quiz history, rules, and the PIN live on the device. There is no analytics SDK and no advertising SDK.
Screen Time
Apple’s Screen Time frameworks hold the apps you choose. 1Lock stores an opaque token so it can seal and unseal them. It does not receive the names of those apps. You can revoke access in Settings at any time. If you do, the seals stop.
Purchases
1Lock Plus is a yearly subscription or a lifetime purchase through the App Store. Apple processes the payment. Family Sharing applies to both. A free starter pack in English, Spanish, Mandarin, and Japanese is included so a sealed app can always be opened.
Children
A parent can put rule changes behind a PIN on the same device. 1Lock does not collect a child’s name, location, or contacts. The PIN is kept in the iOS Keychain.
Audio
Spoken cards use the voice already on the device. Nothing is uploaded to synthesize speech. When you answer by speaking, recognition runs on the iPhone. The audio and the transcript are not stored and are not sent off the device. If that language has no on-device model, the quiz asks you to tap an answer instead. Speaking checks that the words were recognized. It does not score accent or tone.
Questions go to the support page. The terms of use cover Plus and the seal.
